Clinical care standards ae nationally agreed quality statements that define key aspects of patient care and the clinical pathway that should be followed for a specific clinical condition.

Clinical care standards are important in that they allow nurses and medical staff to follow guidelines of current best evidence.

They were developed to inform health professionals on optimal patient care for particular clinical conditions. Implementing these guidelines ensures that care is appropriate and outcomes are maximised.

Within this module you will find the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (2017)
